The USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships officially opened Friday, December 14th with just over 400 junior and master riders aged 10 to 67 competing for stars-and-stripes jerseys at Wyandotte County Park in Kansas City, Kan.
After Thursday’s B-races literally “broke in” the icy 1.91-mile
course, the junior women’s races started the quest for a national
championships under clear skies but with frozen course conditions
on Friday morning. In a race that saw several riders take out barriers,
Project Velo Racing's Michelle Morris won the silver medal in the
eldest of the junior divisions. In the 13-14 field, PVR's Hannah
Mossman also brought home the silver medal. |
